Carbon footprint
Grass, the raw material for Gramitherm®, naturally absorbs and stores CO₂ through photosynthesis. Thanks to a low-energy manufacturing process, Gramitherm® significantly reduces CO₂ emissions. Its production cycle stores more carbon than it emits, making it a true carbon sink.
Energy management
From harvesting to panel production, every stage of grass fibre transformation is optimised to use minimal energy. The result: low embodied energy and minimal environmental impact.
Waste recovery
At Gramitherm®, nothing goes to waste. Offcuts from production and construction sites are collected, recycled, and reintegrated into new panel manufacturing. This recycling approach supports a circular economy and 100% recyclable insulation.
Biodiversity respect
Grass is harvested in a way that respects local ecosystems. Responsible mowing practices, including timing and cutting height, help preserve local wildlife and flora, contributing to biodiversity protection.
A local, abundant and renewable resource
The grass used for Gramitherm® comes from maintenance mowing within a 350 km radius of our Belgian production site. Not intended for animal feed, this natural resource is abundant, renewable, and largely underused until now.
A safe and sustainable insulation solution
Gramitherm® panels are made of 86% bio-based materials, mostly from rapidly renewable resources like grass. Free from toxic additives, the panels are regularly tested by independent bodies. The A+ label guarantees very low VOC emissions, ensuring excellent indoor air quality.
Exceptional durability
Thanks to their breathable nature, Gramitherm® panels regulate humidity and last for over 50 years. They ensure long-term insulation performance. At the end of their life, they can be fully recycled into new panels!
